Optimize your sales page copy & ensure it’s crafted to convert
Congrats! You’re creating a sales page, which means you’re selling an offer—that alone deserves a celebration! This document will help you stay on track as you write your copy and offer a few additional tips & tricks to ensure your sales page is set up to convert.

Before writing your sales page…
Ideally, you want your offer to be 100% complete (or close to it) prior to writing your sales page. A lot can change during the development process, and you don’t want to constantly be editing your copy.
Remind yourself about the voice for your offer—it can help to create a “word bank” of words & phrases you want to see on the page.
Gather all of your offer info: who it’s for, title, tagline, what’s inside, pricing info, etc. Having all of this handy will help you during the writing process.
Create an outline for your sales page. This will help you stay focused and will make the draft-writing process go a lot smoother.
Formatting & flow checklist:
A few considerations as you map out your sales page
Make CTA buttons clear, large, and impossible to miss (research shows they should be in the center of the page & have a border around them)
Use scannable headers & subheads—readers should be able to tell exactly what a paragraph is about just by reading the header
Stick to 2-3 different (brand) fonts—using too many fonts creates a cluttered & chaotic experience
Utilize “chunking” in your copy—breaking up large sections of text with banners, lists, bullet points, multi-media, etc.
CTA buttons should be abundant—you don’t want people scrolling around looking for a way to opt-in
Have you clearly & concisely…

Shared your “big promise”
Called attention to who your offer is for
Called attention to who your offer is not for
Drawn attention to the problem(s) your offer solves
Explained how your offer solves that problem(s)
Mapped out features and benefits
Handled any common objections
Helped your readers visualize life “after your offer”
Mapped out what’s inside your offer (modules, lessons, downloads)
Shared your story & how it relates to this offer
Shared social proof/testimonials in multiple forms (screenshots, written, video)
Shared pricing & payment options
Shared your refund policy
Answered common FAQs
Shared how to “buy” or “join” (are your CTAs clear?)
After your sales page copy is complete:
Edit at least 2x through—check for grammar & spelling errors, make sure all of the logistical information is correct, and try to tighten your copy as much as possible.
Read it aloud—does it sound like you/your brand, does it make sense, are there any information gaps you need to fill?
Share it with a trusted friend or business confidant—ask for their general opinion, if there were any areas that felt confusing, if they feel anything is lacking, etc.
Chop up your copy and repurpose it for emails, social media, etc.
CELEBRATE!!!!! You’re ready to go live, baby.

Take a minute to write an introduction that is short, sweet, and to the point. If you sell something, use this space to describe it in detail and tell us why we should make a purchase. Tap into your creativity. You’ve got this.
